Northern Highbush Blueberry ( Vaccinium corymbosum ) is a species of blueberry native to eastern North America , growing from Nova Scotia and Ontario south to Alabama , and west to Wisconsin.
Zones: 3 or 4 to10 Germination Range: 70-80% or better. Soil type/temp, sunlight, location, watering habits, and many other factors affect your germination rates.
It is hardy to zone 3 and is not frost tender. It is in flower from May to July, and the seeds ripen from Aug to September. The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Apomictic.The plant is self-fertile.
Seeds are very tiny/small, and 300 viable seeds per packet... Sow tiny Highbush Blueberry seeds on the surface of moist, well-draining acidic soil mix; do not cover heavily, as light aids germination (Indoors).
